1,000 field engineers and specialists every year
7 Day Leadership Development Workshop
running around the world
A global oil services company recruits smart, independent and proactive engineers and technical specialists to undertake demanding work in challenging environments. After several years in the field post-university, the company wants to take these key staff to the next leadership level by equipping them with core management skills. How to train 1,000 field staff each year across the globe?
A seven day workshop was devised, with 25 participants and two facilitators per session, running in a range of central regional locations around the world. The program includes several online modules pre-course. A broad range of leadership themes are covered including: self-awareness, cross-cultural working, communication and presentation skills, team leadership, decision making, performance management, coaching, giving & receiving feedback, delegation, motivation, managing change. A group project activity towards the end of the program gives participants the opportunity to integrate and apply the various skills they work on during the week. MBTI and the Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument are used to bring extra depth and insight to each participants learning and development.
The program has been very well received by participants and the company alike.
