Need The HR Associate Director of a leading business school wants to refresh her ‘standard’ PowerPoint presentations, which she feels are low impact, with too many bullet point slides that are boring, confusing and long-winded for her audience.
Solution She met with the businessfruit coach for 2 x 4 hour coaching sessions, four weeks apart. As part of the preparation, there was an initial face-to-face meeting to clarify the coaching goals and to check that she would be comfortable working with this coach. For each session the Associate Director prepared and presented some actual presentations she was working on, and each session was strongly linked to her direct needs. Topics covered included enhancing presentation design and delivery as well as how to work more effectively with PowerPoint®. Working together her PowerPoint slide shows were quickly transformed from a routine series of bullet point slides into more visual and effective slides.
Results The HR Director had very positive feedback from her colleagues and audience over her revised presentations, which she could also deliver with greater energy and impact. The redesigned slides encouraged greater discussion and more questions that she could handle with greater confidence and clarity.
